Container Cranes

Description
A container crane is a type of large dockside gantry crane found at container terminals for loading and unloading intermodal containers from container ships. Container handling cranes consist of chassis, neck rod and a moving platform called a spreader. The spreader can be lowered down on top of a container and locked onto the container's four locking points, using a twistlock mechanism. The container can move along the spreader, and the spreader can move along the vertical neck rod. Container cranes normally can transport a single container, but some newer container handling cranes have the capability to pick up two to four 20-foot containers at once.
