Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes

Description
RTG cranes are mobile gantry cranes used for stacking intermodal containers within the stacking areas of a container terminal. These rubber cranes run on rubber tires. The side-view appearance of a RTG and a straddle carrier are fairly similar, but the top of a RTG features a movable crane.

Application
1. RTG cranes have high work efficiency, with the character of flexibility. Up to now, rubber crane's theoretical work efficiency would be 30 to 40 containers per hour.
2. Rubber cranes can be used to file containers in the docks, at inland transits and at railway container yards. They are highly appreciated for mobility and represent an overwhelming majority of the cranes used in large storage yards. RTG cranes are an economical choice for container storage which straddles multiple lanes (rails or roads), or requires maximum storage density in the container stack.

1. Rubber cranes are environmentally friendly and of hydraulic free design. They are driven by diesel electric power.
2. RTG cranes have fewer components. They are more reliable and need less maintenance.
