Portal Cranes

Description
Portal crane is a heavy-duty machine used to lift very large objects such as shipping containers and automobiles. This gantry crane consists of a pair of vertical steel supported with a long horizontal track. A steel trolley travels along the top track from end to end. Workers use a hoist attached to the base of the trolley to lift or move cargos to different locations. Chinese portal cranes, which are also known as gantry or goliath cranes, use advanced electric or hydraulic operating systems.
